Check Chicago parking and camera tickets
Use the City of Chicago’s ticket search to look up a parking, red-light-camera, or automated-speed-enforcement ticket. Chicago Ticket Fighter does not search government records, collect payments, or submit a contest for you.
Open the right City service
The City’s search screen offers Ticket Number, Notice Number, Driver’s License, and License Plate search options. Choose the option that matches the information you have. The ticket-number option asks for a 10-digit ticket number; follow the instructions shown for the option you select.
Open the official Chicago ticket search.
The older parkingtickets.chicago.gov homepage now opens a payment-plan portal. That portal links to ChiPay for ticket searches, hearing status, and payment in full. If you land on payment-plan enrollment while trying to find a ticket, follow its Find Tickets or ChiPay link instead of starting an enrollment.

Choose a Chicago ticket service
- Find a ticket or status
City ChiPay ticket search. Confirm the record first.
- Review contest options
Use the City contest link. Check your notice and deadline.
- Pay a ticket in full
Use City ChiPay. A search does not make a payment.
- Manage a payment plan
Use the City payment-plan portal for existing plans.
Check the record before choosing a next step
Confirm that the record concerns your vehicle or notice. Save the ticket or notice number, the status the City displays, and the date you checked it. Read any displayed deadline in the official record or notice; this guide cannot calculate it from a search phrase.
The City search page also provides links for parking-ticket photos, red-light video, speed-camera video, and contest information. Use the link for your ticket type. A lookup result alone does not establish whether a contest is available or likely to succeed.
You can keep your next steps in the ticket organizer and review the evidence checklist. Neither replaces the City’s record or completes an official filing.
Avoid payment links in suspicious messages
The City’s ChiPay page warns that scammers send messages that look like City communications. If a message seems suspicious, do not use its links. Independently open Chicago’s Department of Finance website and choose the ticket service there. Check the full address before entering identifying or payment information.
